Privacy Policy
NextGameTime LLC ("we," "us," or "NextGameTime") operates nextgametime.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Short version
- We do not require accounts, sign-ups, or any personal information to use the Site.
- Your "My Teams" selections are stored only on your device (browser localStorage). We never see them.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to count anonymous visits and understand which teams are popular.
- We do not sell any data.
1. Information We Collect
Information we do NOT collect
NextGameTime does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, payment information, or any other identifying information. We do not maintain a server-side user database.
Information stored on your device only
When you select favorite teams, those selections are saved in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device. We have no way to see or recover it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Analytics data (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 ("GA4") to understand aggregate Site usage. GA4 collects:
- Pages viewed and time on each page
- Referrer (the site that sent you here)
- Approximate location (country / region / city derived from IP, IP itself is anonymized)
- Device type, browser, operating system
- A randomly generated GA client ID stored in a cookie
GA4 does not, in our configuration, capture personally identifying information. Google's processing of analytics data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Server logs
The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare maintains standard request logs (IP address, request time, URL, user-agent) for security and abuse prevention. These logs are short-lived and are not used to identify individual users. Cloudflare's handling is governed by the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate and improve the Site
- To measure aggregate traffic and popular content
- To detect and prevent abuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use any data we collect for advertising profiling, retargeting, or sale to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
The Site loads data from and links to several third-party services. When you interact with them, those parties are subject to their own privacy policies.
- ESPN — game data, scores, team logos, and "View Full Schedule" links
- The Odds API — sportsbook odds and event metadata (when betting features are active)
- Sportsbook Partners (FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and others, when active) — clicking a BET button takes you to the operator's site or app. The operator may receive a referral identifier (an "s1" or "s2" sub-ID) so we can be credited for the referral. No personal data is sent with that identifier.
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage analytics
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, security
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses:
- localStorage — to remember your My Teams selections (on-device only)
- GA4 cookies — to assign a random analytics client ID (e.g.,
_ga,_ga_*)
You can clear these at any time through your browser's settings. The Site will continue to work without them; your team selections will reset.
5. Your Choices
- Opt out of Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or use your browser's "Do Not Track" / private-browsing mode.
- Clear your team selections: use the "Edit Teams" view on the Site, or clear site data in your browser.
- Block third-party content: use any reputable content blocker. The Site will still function.
6. Data Retention
We do not maintain a server-side database of users, so we have no individual records to retain. GA4 analytics data is retained on Google's servers per Google's configured retention period (we use the standard 14-month setting). Cloudflare server logs are short-lived per Cloudflare's standard policies.
7. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sportsbook links are only intended for users 21 and older. If you believe we have inadvertently received information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
8. State Privacy Rights (California, Virginia, Colorado, others)
Some U.S. states grant residents specific rights regarding their personal information (access, deletion, opt-out of sale, opt-out of targeted advertising). Because NextGameTime does not collect personally identifying information and does not sell data or run targeted advertising, most of these rights do not apply in practice — we have nothing to disclose or delete. You can still email us at ian@cavumediagroup.com with any privacy-related question or request.
9. International Users
The Site is operated from the United States and is intended primarily for U.S. residents. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand that any analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. We use Cloudflare's standard security protections, including bot mitigation and rate limiting. Because we do not collect personal information, the risk of personal-data exposure is minimal.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the Site. The "Last updated" date below reflects the most recent change.
